Reminder
Hey guys, this is the reminder for the Philippine trip if you guys have lost the information sheet:
Overseas Service Learning Expedition to the Philippines 16 - 19 June 2010
The objectives of this service learning expedition are such that the participants will:
- Display and internalize the core values of the school through the development and application of:
a. SEL competencies (Self Awareness, Social Awareness, Self Management, Relationship management skills, and responsible Decision Making);
b. 21st Century Skills (Civic literacy, global awareness and cross- cultural skills, critical and inventive thinking and Information and communication skills);
2. Have awareness of the less fortunate around them and appreciate what they already have.
3. Positively apple what they have learnt back in their daily lives in Singapore along the theme of "Living lives by what we give"

Important notes for students:
- Your international passport must have minimum validity of six months from the date of arrival to Manila.
- Dress Code should be decent with sport shoes as the grounds may be muddy in some ares
- Punctuality should be observe at all times
- No students are to leave the hotel premises without the permission of the teachers.
- No students are allowed to make changes to the accommodation or visit their friends in other rooms.
- Any students who are not well during the trip are to inform the teachers immediately.
- Drink plenty of water during the trip.
- Always move in groups and do not venture elsewhere without the teachers' permission.
- Bring along sufficient change of clothing and toiletries for the entire trip
- Do not bring large amount of cash and expensive accessories. Minial cash should brought sufficient for the lunch on the last day and the optional buying of souvenirs.
- Student with medical history are to keep the teachers - in - charge informed before the trip. They are to bring their own medication.
- Do not bring banned goods back to Singapore
- Bring passport and writing materials (pen / pencil) (I.M.P.O.R.T.A.N.T)
- Refer to the next section of Packing list for the reommended items to bring for the trip

- Soap / Shower Foam (soap better)

- Cup (To hold toiletries, very useful)
- Talcum powder / Prickly Heat
- Toilet paper (you never know!)
Misc:- Passport
- Pouch / Waist bag / Sling bag (for daily use)
- Torch light
- Plastic Bags (for dirty clothes)
- Alarm Clock
- tissue Paper
- Notebook and stationary
- Mosquito repellent
- First Aid Pack
- Zip - Lock Bags (in case you need to waterproof anything)
- Chargers (For whatever electronics/ though not advisable)
Do remember the restricted list for carry - on luggage. the list includes: Firearms and explosives, flammable materials, poisons, corrosive substances. there is also the 100ml rule. All liquids/gels/aerosols must be in containers 100ml or less. All these containers must be put inside ONE clear, resealable plastic bag, which should not have a capacity exceeding 1 litre.
